The whole council hopes that the improved bus service in the area and the drawing up of the travel pan would help solve potential parking problems. Mecca Bingo will have to apply to licensing officials for a casino buisness in their bingo hall establishment. A hearing for the proposal is set to be held later this year. These expansion plans are not connected with the Southend Council’’s own bidding plans for a supercasino. The Government will announce their plans for larger regional casino for the area.
